I like the slate and the message looks good. I am disappointed with the clock mechanism. The hands seem very flimsy cheap white plastic & its hard to put a battery in the pack on the back as the whole thing keeps sliding round & feels like it will come off in your hand.
Stronger aluminium/metal hands (as I had thought the picture showed) and a better quality clock & battery pack on the back would be more suited to the lovely slate finish.

The book has beautiful illustrations, however for the price I was expecting a book with a lot more pages, there are only 12 pages of nursery rhymes between the hard back covers, so I was a bit disappointed. Would have been helpful if the number of pages could have made more obvious. I have had to buy an additional gift as this book on its own looked a mean gift (even in the presentation box).

I know I ordered the A5 size but I was hoping for a page a puzzle, but the puzzles are very small and crammed in. I bought it for my 70 year old Dad so a bit disappointed but otherwise it would be lovely as it is good quality.
